4D-Ultrasound

Ultrasound 4 D

Ultrasound is the type of sound waves that has a frequency higher than 20,000 Hz. Now we use it for diagnosis of disease and the fetus’s health in the womb.

How does the 4D-Ultrasound functions?
Ultrasound machine collects the quantity of reflecting sound and display the picture in 3D so the image of the baby is more realistic. Moreover, the 4D-ultrasound can capture the 3D pictures and change to a real time animations.

The Advantages of 4D-Ultrasound
1. The period of the pregnancy screening is shortening because we can see fetus’s body and genital organs from the computer screen.
2. The fetus’s internal organ in the womb is clearer than the 2D-ultrasound machine.

What does the 4D-Ultrasound detects?

1.The position of the placenta, umbilical cord and amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the fetus.
2.Infant's skull and brain structure.
3.The heart and blood circulation.
4.The spine, stomach, bladder and kidney.
5.The arms, legs, hands, feet and fingers.
6.The face and other parts of the organs on the infant’s face.
7.Sex (if required)
8.The infant’s growth ratio (head size, height and weight).
The suitable menstrual age for 4D-Ultrasound

All gestation ages can be monitored through 4D-Ultrasound which the figures will be different according to gestation age.
1.4D-Ultrasound can help to sight the fetus’s overall image for the short gestation.
2.4D-Ultrasound can help to sight the fetus’s detail for the much gestation because the fetus’s organs has progress
3.The mother should be monitored 4D-Ultrasound since they have the short gestational age (should not over 26 weeks) because the fetus will turn the head down and be into pelvic while the gestational age is over 35 weeks.
4.However, if the fetus is in the turned back position throughout 4D-Ultrasound monitoring, the fetus’ face will not be seen. Therefore, the suitable gestation age to undergo 4D-Ultrasound should not over 26 weeks pregnancy.
